The Golden Girls
Shot up with growth hormones and antibiotics, then kept in cramped and dirty cages, only to be slaughtered at around 45 days old. This is the life our sweet chickens, commonly called broiler hens, faced before their heroic escape. Thanks to a kind person who found them wandering the roadside, they found their way to us at Cotton Branch Farm Animal Sanctuary. They are now healthy and happy and the best of friends!
